Area:
Lane Cove NP, Pennant Hills Park
Maps:

Lane Cove National Park is rich in bird life by day but not all wildlife sleeps at night. The park is a stronghold of the Powerful Owl, the largest owl in Australia, as well as other owl species. It is also home to possums, some of which the Powerful Owl likes to eat. The walk starts at Thornleigh Station and finishes at Epping Station but 80% of the walk is through bushland. We will start in twilight but it will soon become dark so a torch is essential. Distance is approximately 8km.
